Today the Chengdu and Chongqing Experimental Regions Development Forum declared open in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan. The forum was hosted by Sohu.com and Focus.com. It adopted a round-table approach so as to allow every attendee to have their voice heard. Werkhart International Beijing Office vice General Manager Dr. Yunwei Zhao was invited to offer a speech.
The summit hosted over 500 government officials, eminent ecumenicists, and directors of the sizeable real estate businesses in Chengdu and Chongqing, as well as CEOs of real estate agencies and received publication by dozens of Chinese mainstream media. The goal of this event was to study on the trends of the real estate market in the Chengdu and Chongqing experimental regions as well as the new financing approaches under the latest policies.
Dr. Zhao’s speech titled New Towns from Other Land analyzed the conditions of the experimental regions by introducing the successful similar cases in other countries. “The Chengdu and Chongqing experimental regions are still young,” said he, “and it should take some while before implementation. A compact development mode should be adopted with well coordinated infrastructure in order to achieve the integrated and harmonic growth.”
